Importance of dams
As "the importance of dams" are the words like the importance of trees, the importance of fresh air, etc. Dams are basically reservoirs. They are used to generate electricity from water. These are used for the irrigation of crops. In Pakistan, there is a need for more dams. There is a shortage of water in Pakistan.
We need more dams to fulfill our needs for water. There is water but it is contaminated. It is contaminated because of the carelessness of people. Water from industries is discharged into rivers which cause water pollution. For life, people drink dirty water.
On the Earth, the water covers 3% area, and out of this only1% is not dirty. We need dams for freshwater for providing that to our future generation. The water resources present today are not enough to support our future generations.
Pakistan is an agricultural country so we need more water. There is a need for more dams to irrigate the crops. Dams now become important to support life. Pakistan is suffering from an energy crisis. To face this energy crisis we need more dams.
